The Greater Toronto Business Alliance (GTBA) was formed in 2008 to provide an opportunity for groups across the Toronto area to work together as they work to promote the new business landscape of the city. Founding members of the GTBA include the Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business and Professionals Inc., the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, the Italian Canadian Chamber of Commerce of Ontario, and the Toronto Chinese Business Association. Although each organization has its own unique needs, they have much in common and it is with the hope of fostering these common objectives that the chambers have joined forces. Over the past five years, they have been collaborating on projects of common interest whereby we have unified the voices of the four largest immigrant groups in the Greater Toronto Area. They regularly collaborate on projects of common interest relating to business, cultural, and civic issues that affect our respective communities.
