Founding members of the GTBA include the Federation of Portuguese Canadian Business & Professionals Inc., the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce, the Italian Canadian Chamber of Commerce of Toronto, and the Toronto Chinese Business Association. Although each organization has its own unique needs, they have much in common and it is with the hope of fostering these common objectives that the chambers have joined forces. On Thursday, September 24, 2009, the GTBA kicked off its first event at the City of Toronto Archives by organizing a Networking Gathering. It offered an opportunity for members of all four associations to meet and network at the same time, and hear directly from Mayor Miller about the opportunities created by Invest Toronto. 
擴展會員交流及商務活動 （九月廿四日） 新聞稿 昨日（九月廿四日），由多倫多華商會，意大利商會，葡萄牙商會，及印度商會，組成的「大多市商會聯盟」(Greater Toronto Business Alliance)昨日在多倫多市政府的 Toronto Archives 舉行了其結盟後首項交流活動，接近一百五十人參與。 昨日是四會結盟後的首個活動，請來Invest Toronto主席及臨時首席行政執行官苗大衛為主講嘉賓，與在場一百多位商界朋友分享了Invest Toronto的服務領域，講解該機構如何宣傳大多市及吸納投資者，使多倫多成為一個有競爭力的城市。Invest Toronto其中一個使命是從推廣，及舉辦貿易訪問團，加強商界與政府聯繫這些活動去宣傳多倫多這個擁有投資優勢的城市。 舉辦是次的四會會長均有出席，包括多倫多華商會會長張小惠，意大利商會會長George Visintin，葡萄牙商會會長Manuel de Brito Fialho，印度商會會長Asha Luthra。 張小惠表示，多倫多華商會很榮幸能與其他三個族裔商會結盟，尤其是他們三個商會都是聯邦政府註冊，在全加拿大擁有大量會員，結盟後的會員交流活動，定能擴大會員交際圈子。加拿大經濟不斷發展，加強各族裔企業及商務合作是當今商營發展的其中一個重要方向，不同族裔的商貿制度和經濟水平不同，但彼此可優勢互補，共同協商合作，達到共贏。成立這個聯盟，是希望凝聚各商會力量，擴展各商會網絡，並且爭取與三級政府對話的機會。 大多市商會聯盟將定期舉辦會員交流活動，辯論比賽，商貿活動及訪問團，並聯手參與2010中國商貿訪問團出席上海世博，藉此希望緊密聯繫各商會會員及本國商貿良機。 有關詳情，請電416-595-0313或瀏覽www.tcbacanada.com 傳媒聯絡： 林綺華，多倫多華商會行政總監 (416) 595-0313 內線24 (416) 605-7799 |
