Designed to meet industry, business and government requirements, St. John Ambulance first aid courses are your assurance of quality, flexibility and expertise. Emergency level first aid is a state-of-the-art, modular course of basic first aid skills and other select subjects needed to sustain life and manage the scene of an injury.

The Emergency Level First Aid course is built on the same core and elective lessons as the Standard Level course. The course includes core and elective lessons as well as a written exam.
1. Emergency Scene Management
2. Shock, Unconsciousness and Fainting
3. Choking (Adult)
4. Cardiovascular Emergencies and One-Rescuer CPR (Adult casualty)
5. Severe Bleeding
6. Medical Conditions (Diabetes, Convulsions, Asthma, Allergies)
7. Wound Care
8. Burns

Punctuality:
|
Mandatory attendance to all sessions is required. This is a certificate course and students are evaluated on practical skills as well as knowledge based evaluation.
The instructor cannot accept cutting class for over 10 minutes. Students are liable for full payment of the course if disqualified for the reason of cutting class.

Dress Code:
|
Please dress casually and comfortably. You will be asked to participate in practical sessions which are often on the floor.

Testing:
|
Course instructions and testing are conducted in English.
Course materials also available in Chinese upon request.
Verbal testing is available for students who might have difficulty with a written exam.
