The Confederation of Greater Toronto Chinese Business Association (CGTCBA) is proud to present its 13th Annual Chinese New Year Gala on Sunday, March 7, 2010 to be held at Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC). As with past years, the Gala is brought together by the four member Associations of the Confederation, namely Mississauga Chinese Business Association (MCBA), Scarborough-York Region Chinese Business Association (SYRCBA), Richmond Hill & Markham Chinese Business Association (RHMCBA) and Toronto Chinese Business Association (TCBA); we wish to present our best wishes to you during the first month of the Year of Tiger. Last year, over 600 guests attended our Annual Gala with representatives from three levels of Governments, including Prime Minister and dignitaries, leaders and representatives from business sectors and community at large. We expect the 2010 Gala will receive the same level of popularity.
Perhaps the biggest project the CGTCBA has undertaken is the 2010 China Trade Mission. As a prelude to the China Trade Mission, we specially organized this gala with the theme of "Oriental Fantasia – Hong Kong and Shanghai". To reflect this theme, we have included a wide range of fabulous musical performances from artists young and old with the theme of Hong Kong and Shanghai. In addition, there is a Best Cheongsam Competition, which all the patrons will participate as judges to select one outstanding individual who dressed with the best Cheongsam. The highlight of the evening will be a Special Presentation of Hong Kong. A delegation including a minister level of Hong Kong Government Officer will fly from Hong Kong and deliver a key-note speech at the gala evening.
As one of the major events within the Chinese and Business community in Toronto, we assure you will be able to network with many business people and major corporations in Toronto.
