Balancing Work and Healthy Eating: Tips to Leading a Healthy Lifestyle Keynote Speaker: Sosan Hua Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Educator Sosan Hua graduated from the University of Toronto. Along with her certification as a Registered Dietitian she is also a Certified Diabetes Educator. In addition to working in a medical clinic, she works part time as a consulting dietitian and operates a private business providing one on one counseling, workshops and seminars to different ethnic individuals and groups. She works with clients at the downtown Toronto Athletic Club Sport Medicine Clinic and at the Austin Rehab Group (specializing in weight management, diabetes, heart disease, sport nutrition, prenatal nutrition and gastrointestinal problems). Her client-centered and holistic approach are combined with practical advice and evidence. Sosan has proudly helped many clients achieve their health and fitness goals. She is actively involved with different ethno-cultural communities and often invited to speak at churches, profit and non profit organizations on a variety of topics. She was also an Instructor at Centennial College teaching 2 courses - Food Safety and Nutrition & Health. In addition, Sosan is often interviewed by Ming Pao, World Journal, Today Daily News and Sing Tao Chinese newspapers and has appeared on OMNI television, Fairchild and Toronto Chinese radio as the expert in the area of nutrition and food issues. She also has her own daily nutrition show on WOW TV and weekly radio segment on FM 1430 sharing her nutrition expertise with the public. |
