China & Pakistan Disaster Relief
「四海同心齊賑災」中國及巴基斯坦天災籌款活動
Over 30 million people have been made homeless after the recent floodings in Asia, particularly in Pakistan. The Canadian Federal Government has announced a dollar for dollar match for donations to the Pakistan Flood Relief Fund. TCBA has added their pledge to the list of organizations to provide relief to the people of the disaster stricken areas. On August 27th, a fundraising dinner was held at the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto, where over 40 community organizations joined together to raise funds for the relief effort.
